Wrong Way - Vernet
	Ref: C385 Comedy and Surprise Climax! The magician shows a large traffic signal that has a big arrow in each side. He explans that this signal is very important because the traffic must go in that way. One arrow is shown to be pointing to the left and the other to the right. The magician explains "this signal means that the traffic must go to the right and this other to the left". The comedy begins when the arrows begins to change and points the opposite way, both to the right, then both to the left, then up and down. Finally the magician says "...and if you don´t pay attention to the traffic signals the police officer will give you a ticket" and at that moment the plaque drops open showing a police officer 44´´ high in full color, the face is cut out and the magician´s own face shows through it.

	Ref: B867 Effect The performer explains that in Chinese culture, all energy or "chi" is balanced and regulated by the forces of "yin" and "yang". Two bamboo sticks are introduced. One stick is white with a corresponding white tassel. The other is black, with a black tassel on a black cord. These two sticks are held side by side and explained to be "Yin-Yang" sticks, which can demonstrate a very simple yet profound principle of human existence. Backstage Elephant Vanish
	Ref: B493 The performer offers to teach his audience how to vanish an Elephant ! He displays a draped tray, a picture of an Elephant, and two boards to "cage" the elephant. He now turns his back to the audience, and performs the effect for an imaginary audience in front of him, while the real audience has a backstage view of the working. The two boards are placed on the tray. The Elephant Card is displayed, and dropped between the two cards. The Cards are then removed, and freely displayed on both sides, to show the Elephant has vanished. The real audience however, has seen how the effect is accomplished, because they have seen the Elephant Card drop through a slot in the tray into a ribbon harness under the tray. The Elephant is not visible from the front, being concealed by the drape. After some remarks to the effect that when performed with a real Elephant one would require, a much larger trap on the stage than the slot in the tray, and a much stronger harness, the performer offers to repeat the effect, this time with the real audience to the front. The two boards are again placed on the tray, and the Elephant drops between them. The boards are removed and freely displayed on both sides. The Elephant has vanished. The performer explains that there may be a few wise people in the audience who, may figure out that the Elephant is behind the drape. As he says this, he turns the tray around, so that the audience sees the, Elephant hanging in the ribbon harness behind the drape. If this happens, the performer continues, he has no recourse, except to use some "real magic". The tray is turned, drape side again facing audience. The performer gestures dramatically to make the Elephant vanish, then peels away the drape to show the elephant has indeed vanished. Both the drape and tray are freely shown all sides, with no trace of the elephant. This effect was inspired by Jack Hughes' Lady Vanishes. This is a larger stage version with an "Elephant" card instead of a Playing Card, and some modifications, so that the tray appears narrower than the Elephant Card that vanishes. We supply you all the required props, ready to work, with complete instructions. Backstage Vainshing Elephant Kid Show / Stage / Parlor / Magic Trick The performer offers to teach the audience how to vanish an elephant. A picture of an elephant is placed on a tray, covered front and back by two boards, and when the boards are removed the elephant has apparently vanished. 	Ref: B472 Effect CAPSTONE'S "Torn and Restored Pirate Treasure Map" is a new twist on a time tested classic effect! Why use a boring sheet of newspaper when you can display an antique parchment treasure map and present an entertaining story about pirates and buried treasure? Here's an outline of the routine: The magician introduces an old piece of parchment which is folded into the shape a small pirate hat. As he unfolds the piece of parchment, the audience realizes it is a treasure map. A volunteer from the audience joins the magician.
